Sara Stern

Sara Stern is an interdisciplinary artist based in New York City whose work combines multimedia performance, moving image, sculpture, architectural intervention, and animation. Her projects examine histories of landscape and urban development through speculative fiction. She holds a BA from Harvard and an MFA from Columbia University. Stern has shown work at venues including SculptureCenter, Anthology Film Archives, the Museum of the Moving Image, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore. She received the Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant and the Fountainhead Fellowship at VCU. She took part in the Fire Island Artist Residency in 2023.
