Shamica Ruddock

Shamica Ruddock is a London-based artist whose practice works predominantly between sound and moving image, focused on speculation, fiction and folklore. Their work considers how Black diasporas are explored through sound, particularly black technosonic production as a form of worldmaking. In 2022/23 they were the first recipient of the Acme x OSE Fellowship, and in 2023 they curated the exhibition Time, Labour, Process at Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop.
