Shannon Lewis

Shannon Lewis is a Canadian-born artist with Trinidadian roots who lives and works in Berlin. Her practice covers painting, fabric installation, collage, and performance. She works with ideas of power, pleasure, and the construction of femininity. She was an artist in residence at Alice Yard in Port of Spain in 2019, where she presented the installation Get Me Bodied: Navigation Acts. She has an MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London (2014) and a BFA from OCAD in Toronto (2006).
