Shannon Madore Nugent

Shannon Madore Nugent, PhD, is a clinical health psychologist who completed her doctorate at the University of Colorado Denver in 2015. She was a VA health services research fellow with CIVIC from 2016 to 2018. Her work centers on palliative medicine, psychosocial oncology, and health care access for older adults and Veterans. She now works as a Core Investigator with CIVIC and as an Instructor at OHSU's Department of Psychiatry. Her recent VA projects include research on rural and transgender Veterans' primary care and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy.
