Shawn Smith

Shawn Smith is a sculptor and printmaker who was the 2026 Artist-in-Residence at Josephine Sculpture Park in Kentucky. His work often explores the relationship between the natural and digital worlds. His JSP installation views nature through the eyes of beneficial insects. He holds a BFA in Printmaking from Washington University and an MFA in Sculpture from the California College of the Arts. His public commissions include San Francisco, New York City, Fort Worth, Austin, and the US Embassy in Niamey, Niger.
