Sofia Rosalia Fioramonti
Sofia Rosalia Fioramonti is a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, video and painting. Her practice mixes documentary language with visual poetry. She is interested in body, territory, memory, and how personal experience can become collective. In 2025 she was a resident at Domaine de Boisbuchet in France through the Nouveau Grand Tour programme for Italian artists under 30. There she made Ephemera, a project on flowers moving from bloom to decay. She scanned the flowers on a negative scanner rather than photographing them. The final piece was a dual-channel video installation. It combined the flower footage, lines from Ovid's Metamorphoses, and a soundtrack, and focused on impermanence and continuity.
