Sonali Arnaz Mehta-Rao

Sonali Arnaz Mehta-Rao is a South Asian American visual artist whose interdisciplinary practice explores identity, ecology, and ancestral memory. Her work draws on Parsi-Zoroastrian, Bengali-Christian, and South Indian-Hindu lineages. She is scheduled to take part in the Evolving Identities programme at Studio 88 Artist Residency in Chiang Mai in June 2026. Alongside her art, she has long worked as a social entrepreneur with rural communities in India.
