Sophie Rao

Sophie Rao is a ceramic artist who was a resident at The Steel Yard in 2017. Her hand-built sculpture often centers on animals and the way people relate to objects. She has spent recent years working with porcelain on pinch-pot bunny figures, and her figurative installations explore family and social connections.
