Sophie Wohlgemuth

Sophie Wohlgemuth is an artist and curator whose work explores embodiment, care work, agency, community and collective knowledge. She uses long-duration endurance work, experimental collaboration and repetition, and has been developing the sourdough performance series Caring Is Scary since 2023. She works as a curator and cultural mediator at ArTik e. V. in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, and was a resident at SODAS 2123 in Vilnius in 2025.
