Stefaan De Croock

Stefaan De Croock (born 1982) is a Belgian contemporary artist who works under the alias Strook in some contexts. He trained in fine arts at Sint-Lucas in Ghent and has been a full-time artist since 2011. His work uses weathered and symbolic materials to build portraits that reflect on time, transience and the human experience. He has been a resident artist at Hektor on Lanzarote, where a permanent installation by him is in the pool area.
