Steven Espada Dawson

Steven Espada Dawson is a poet from East Los Angeles, the son of a Mexican immigrant. He has held fellowships from the Poetry Foundation and the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. He has also served as a poetry editor for Copper Nickel and Sycamore Review. He is the author of Late to the Search Party (Scribner, 2025). He lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where he serves as poet laureate.
