Susanne Kerr

Susanne Kerr is a Wellington-based New Zealand painter. She was an artist in residence at Waiheke Community Art Gallery in 2012, where she was struck by the island's sculptures and responded with figurative imagery. In 2018 she won the Michael Evans Figurative Award at the Walker & Hall Waiheke Art Award. Her paintings examine reinterpreted artistic traditions and 21st-century human behaviour, often focusing on female relationships.
