Tarek al Ghoussein

Tarek al Ghoussein was a Palestinian-Kuwaiti photographer known for self-portraits set in vast landscapes and infrastructure sites across the UAE and the Gulf. He was in the 2006 Darat al Funun show The Wall & The Checkpoints, which dealt with barriers and displacement. He taught in the UAE for years and died in New York in June 2022.
