Tekla Bude

Tekla Bude is an associate professor in the School of Writing, Literature & Film at Oregon State University. She studies late medieval literature, especially how medieval writers engaged with music, arithmetic, geometry, and astronomy. Her first book, Sonic Bodies, won the Anne Middleton Book Prize in 2023. She has also been a Center for the Humanities Research Fellow at OSU, working on medieval sea journeys and early risk assessment.
