Thomas McIntyre

Thomas McIntyre is an artist who was an artist-in-residence at PenArt in the fall of 2024. He was born and raised in Virginia and lives in Chicago. He received a BFA in 2023 from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with a focus on architecture and sculpture. His practice is rooted in design and craft, and often results in ironic, personified furniture objects. He works across ceramic, metal, wood, and prefabricated industrial materials.
