Tony Fernandez

Tony Fernandez is a photographer and educator from Miami who was born in Cuba. He has taught for about four decades across elementary, secondary, and college levels. He studied photography under Jerry N. Uelsmann and Aaron Siskind and holds an MFA from the Institute of Design in Chicago. He was named a 2026 Artist-in-Residence at the Deering Estate and was also a 2024 resident.
