Tyga Helme

Tyga Helme is a UK-based painter and printmaker whose practice centres on drawing from life, often of nature's edge-lands such as thickets, trees, sea and sky. She trained at Edinburgh College of Art and The Royal Drawing School in London. In March 2024 she took up a residency at The Corridor Project in New South Wales, Australia, where she produced a series of rapidly drawn gouache works responding to Wiradjuri Country. Her 2025 Messums London exhibition 'We are the Knots & Tangles' featured 56 works made in oil pastel.
