W.D. Ehrhart

W. D. Ehrhart is an American poet, essayist, and scholar who served as a Marine infantry sergeant in Vietnam. He is often called the dean of Vietnam War poetry. He has also written prose, edited anthologies, and translated work into Japanese. He taught English and history at the Haverford School in Pennsylvania from 2001 until retiring in 2019. He holds degrees from Swarthmore College, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Swansea University. He received a 1993 Pew Fellowship in the Arts. His Between Shadows Press connection is a listed contributor credit on the publisher's side; the pages do not describe the nature of that work in detail.
