WADE SCHAMING

Wade Schaming is a sculptor born in Pittsburgh in 1984 who lives and works in New York City. He makes found-object sculptures assembled only by stacking, using discarded materials that are left unbound and balanced. His work often draws on objects from his late mother's household after her death from frontotemporal lobar degeneration in 2012. He holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. He has held residencies including Residency 108 in 2014, Yaddo, and the Edward F. Albee Foundation. His work has been shown at the Bronx Museum of the Arts and Primary Projects in Miami, among other venues.
