Wessel Van Huyssteen
Wessel van Huyssteen is a South African artist, educator, curator and filmmaker who has worked in the field since 1986. He moved to full-time painting in 2016 and is known for watercolours, collages and large stitched textiles. His work focuses on landscape and non-place, and on how power structures mark the natural environment. He was invited to a Nirox Foundation residency in 2021.
