William S. Barnes

William S. Barnes is a poet, attorney, and botanist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He works for the New Mexico State Land Office and previously was a field botanist at Valles Caldera National Preserve. His poetry collection The Ledgerbook was published by 3: A Taos Press in 2016. He holds an MFA in poetry from New York University, received in 2015. Earlier, he won the Academy of American Poets Prize at the University of New Mexico.
