Yixuan Shao

Yixuan Shao is a New York-based artist who works with Bicheng Liang as the transdisciplinary duo Alchemyverse, active since 2020. Their field-based practice combines craft and research, drawing on printmaking and sound studies. Shao received a BA from the University of California, San Diego, and the duo's collaboration began during the MFA program at Columbia University. Shao was an awarded resident at Rabbit Island in 2023.
