Yongqi Tang

Yongqi Tang is a painter and drawer born in China in 1997 who works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, and charcoal. She studied at the University of Washington, earning a BA in 2019 and an MFA in 2022. She was a Field Projects resident in summer 2022. Her work explores femininity, identity, and the diasporic experience, often reworking classical imagery and mythology. She has shown in galleries in New York, Naples, Rome, Miami, Los Angeles, and Paris. She is based in Washington State.
