Yun-Pei Hsiung

Yun-Pei Hsiung is a Taiwanese artist born in Taipei in 1985 whose practice centres on social intervention, social sculpture and participatory actions. His work often addresses queer identity, public space, social housing, neo-capitalism and the geopolitical situation of Taiwan. He also draws, using drawing as a space to explore his queer Asian identity. In 2025 he was in a three-month residency at SODAS 2123 in Vilnius, researching the 1989 Baltic Way and comparing it with Taiwan's 2004 Hand-in-Hand rally. He presented related work at the Performance Art Weekend in Kaunas in October 2025.
