Zeja Copes

Zeja Z Copes is a painter and fiction writer based in Pittsburgh, PA. Her work explores the intersection of horror and everyday boredom, and she is interested in bookmaking, traditional illustration, and scary storytelling. She earned a BFA in Art and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She was a resident at PenArt (Peninsula School of Art) in Fall 2022, her first residency.
