About the press

BearManor Media is an independent publishing house founded in 2000 by Ben Ohmart, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the histories of film, television, radio, and popular culture. With a catalog of over 1,000 titles, the press specializes in memoirs, biographies, and behind-the-scenes accounts that might otherwise be overlooked by mainstream publishers. Its mission is to provide a platform for both established and first-time authors who share a passion for entertainment history, often focusing on niche subjects and cult favorites.

Publishing focus

The editors seek books on actors, films, television series, anything to do with the performing arts. They also seek Disney park books for our imprint, Theme Park Press, and horror film books for their Midnight Marquee imprint.
