BLF Press accepts submissions during open reading periods, typically announced on their website and social media. They seek full-length manuscripts (poetry, fiction, or nonfiction) that align with their mission. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but notify them immediately if your work is placed elsewhere. Include a brief cover letter, a synopsis, and the first 10-15 pages of your manuscript. Response times can be lengthy (3-6 months), so patience is advised. They prioritize work by Black women and nonbinary writers, but all are welcome to submit if the work fits their ethos.
