Blydyn Square Books is an independent literary press founded in 2018 with the conviction that books can serve as catalysts for social change. Based in New Jersey, the press publishes a focused list of literary fiction, memoir, and narrative nonfiction that engages with pressing contemporary issues. Its ethos is rooted in the belief that storytelling is a moral act, and it seeks out manuscripts that combine artistic integrity with a clear-eyed commitment to justice, equity, and the complexities of the human experience.

Blydyn Square Books publishes books that make you think: smart, interesting, character-driven fiction and unusual/thought-provoking nonfiction. They have a children’s imprint (Blydyn Square Topia) that is seeking picture books and chapter books. They also have a forthcoming “smart heart fiction” imprint called Heartwise Books, which will feature thought-provoking romance/women’s fiction.
