Ig Publishing accepts submissions directly from authors and agents, though they prioritize queries with a clear, concise pitch. They are particularly interested in literary fiction with a strong voice and nonfiction that offers a fresh, progressive perspective on contemporary issues. Before submitting, review their catalog to ensure your work aligns with their aesthetic and political leanings. Include a brief bio, a synopsis, and the first chapter or a substantial sample. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but notify them immediately if your work is placed elsewhere. Response times can be lengthy due to a small staff, so patience is advised. They do not accept submissions by mail; all queries should be sent via email as per their website guidelines.

Please look at our list before submitting so that you get a feel for what we publish.
