3 listedManuscript submissions
Before submitting, review the press's catalog and submission guidelines to ensure your manuscript aligns with its stated subject areas—particularly Western history, Native American studies, archaeology, and environmental topics. The press expects a well-researched proposal that includes an overview, table of contents, sample chapters, and a clear articulation of the work's scholarly contribution. Simultaneous submissions are generally discouraged; query first if unsure. Given its academic focus, authors should be prepared for a rigorous peer-review process and should not expect rapid turnaround. Creative works are considered selectively, so a strong rationale for fit is essential.
We usually only publish poetry through our Agha Shahid Ali Prize in Poetry. Read more about it at www.uofupress.com/ali-poetry-prize.php .
