About the residency
Asociación Jupiterfab is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering contemporary urban art practices through international residencies and public interventions. Founded with the belief that street art can serve as a critical tool for social dialogue, the association facilitates projects that engage directly with local communities and urban environments. Its residency program, typically spanning several months, invites artists to develop site-specific works that respond to the social and physical fabric of the host city. By prioritizing process over product, Jupiterfab encourages artists to experiment with new methodologies and to consider the broader implications of their work beyond the gallery walls.

Artists interested in applying should first familiarize themselves with Jupiterfab's past projects to understand its emphasis on community engagement and site-specificity. Proposals should articulate a clear rationale for working in a particular context, demonstrating sensitivity to local dynamics and a willingness to adapt through dialogue. While technical skill in urban art mediums is expected, the selection committee prioritizes conceptual rigor and ethical considerations. Applications typically require a project proposal, portfolio, and budget outline; early inquiries to the organization are encouraged to clarify expectations and logistical constraints.
