Belgrade Art Studio Residency

Planning your application

Artists should apply via the website when calls open, typically annually. Proposals are not required to be project-based; instead, applicants are encouraged to articulate their artistic interests and how a self-directed residency would benefit their practice. The selection committee looks for clarity of intent, openness to the local context, and a genuine need for time and space. Include a concise artist statement, a selection of recent work, and a brief note on why Belgrade and this residency specifically appeal to you. Avoid overly polished or commercial presentations; authenticity and experimentation are valued.
