About the residency

Contemporary Lynx is a London-based online platform and print magazine dedicated to contemporary art from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. Founded in 2013 by Dobromiła Błaszczyk and Sylwester Błaszczyk, it has grown into a vital resource for artists, curators, and collectors, offering critical essays, interviews, and news. Its core mission is to bridge the gap between artists from the region and the international art world, fostering dialogue and visibility through a discerning editorial lens.

Planning your application

Artists should approach Contemporary Lynx with a clear understanding of its geographic and thematic focus. While the platform covers global contemporary art, it has a particular interest in Central and Eastern European contexts. Submissions for open calls or editorial features should demonstrate critical thinking, high-quality documentation, and a compelling narrative. It is advisable to review past issues and articles to align with the platform's tone and scope. For open calls, follow instructions meticulously and ensure that proposals are tailored to the specific opportunity.
