About the residency
Hub Feenix is an international artist residency program based in Finland, operating as a self-organized community for creative practitioners across disciplines. Founded on principles of peer support and experimentation, it offers long-term residencies that prioritize process over product, encouraging artists to engage with the surrounding landscape and local networks. The program is hosted within a former school building, providing studios, living quarters, and communal spaces that foster dialogue and collaboration.

Applicants should demonstrate a clear need for a long-term, communal residency and a willingness to contribute to the daily life of the community. Proposals that articulate how the rural Finnish context and peer exchange will inform the work are favored. The application process is typically open and rolling, with a focus on fit rather than career stage; artists are advised to visit the website for current call details and to apply well in advance of intended dates.
