Karuizawa Mokuhanga School

They teach mokuhanga - Japanese woodblock printmaking and provide a studio for practicing mokuhanga artists. Artists can stay in a fully equipped mokuhanga studio, in a traditional Japanese house. Suitable for beginners or professional artists, the residency is run by a professional and qualified Mokuhanga artist. Participants can stay, learn and be inspired by an authentic Japanese learning environment. Unfortunately only people already residing in Japan can attend a residency at the moment. In the meantime see their website for the online learning opportunities they have available.
