Mouhit Space

Mouhit is an artist-residence based in Tunis. The residence supports creative practitioners at all levels of their career by offering a convivial environment for reflection, artistic experimentation, and self-development At Mouhit, they believe that feedback culture and critical thinking constitute the core of a nurturing arts practice, hence they work with mentors from different backgrounds to support artists during their residency. At the same time, Mouhit offers tools for artists to organize their residency in a self-directed way. To the organisers, openness and accessibility are important values, thus they encourage artists to engage with the public during their residency period by offering experiences, open studios, and activities of their choice. Mouhit strives to become a bridge between Tunisian and international artists by fostering dialogues and exchanges. They support artists in residence by integrating them into both the local and international art scenes, providing them with mentoring, guidance, and production and communication support tailored to their practices and needs during their residency.
