Phoenix Athens

An Athens based curator will work with each artist individually throughout their stay to support their research, practice and onsite public/ community projects. The curator will be in discussion with the artists’ prior and during their stay in Athens in order to provide a rounded collaboration. The residency aims to motivate artists to develop their practice and research inspired by the rich culture of the city. Phoenix Athens proposes to create a dialogue between the current residents and the social, political and cultural history of the city. Artists are welcomed to produce small and large scale of work using all the facilities mentioned below. Artists are welcomed to facilitate a workshop based on their practice or provide a talk/presentation in order to present their work and research to the public.
