About the residency
The house was previously the home of the famous Danish writer, Elsa Gress and her husband, the American painter, Clifford Wright. Here they created the artists colony 'Decenter' for artists and intellectuals, which became a milestone in Danish art and culture history during the 70's and 80's. Today the house is a residence for writers and other creative people, who need to concentrate on a project. Individuals and small groups (4 persons) are welcome at Villa Gress. The guests are a.o. writers, journalists, scientists, designers, scriptwriters, photographers, painters etc. There is no outcome mandatory and no fixed schedule.
