Writers should carefully review each opportunity's guidelines on the Writing NSW website, noting eligibility, deadlines, and formatting requirements. It is advisable to submit polished work that reflects a clear understanding of the specific competition or program's focus. Writing NSW values originality and authenticity, so avoid generic submissions. Engage with their broader offerings, such as workshops and mentorships, to strengthen your practice before applying. For competitions, ensure your entry stands out through precise language and a compelling narrative voice.
