Artists and Curators in Residence Program at LAZNIA CCA is dedicated to both Polish and foreign artists and curators, representing various art disciplines. Since 2012, there have been over 100 artists, curators and researchers taking part in the program from all around the world. Apart from hosting its guests, the Residency Program includes bilateral exchanges with international partners (such as yearly residency exchange between Gdansk and Strasbourg or Gdansk and Modena, in collaboration with art academies and other cultural organizations). The program supports also young artists from different fields, by introducing AIR Incubator program, which focuses on collaboration with professionals and art experts. The Residency Program is held in LAZNIA 2 CCA building – the second branch of the institution, located in Nowy Port district in Gdansk. The top floor of the former public bathhouse building was converted into residency space with rooms available to invited artists, curators and researchers. In the building there is also a gallery, workshop spaces, studio cinema and library. The crucial element of the program is supporting inclusive projects that diversify and broaden the audience and build relationships based on sharing knowledge. Its main pillars are collaboration with the local community, experts, artists, curators, scholars, Academies, other organizations, as well as creation of a space for dialogue, learning, research and experiments, often aimed to support long-term and cooperation-based processes. Within the Residency Program we try to search for new definition of residency, focused on thorough engagement and research as well as interdisciplinary approach.

A project-based residency where one can appeal to the technical expertise of the counselor. Le Wonder is an artist-run-space, a place run by and for artists. Since 2013, the eponymous collective has occupied large disused complexes in the Parisian suburbs and has shaped the places it occupies in its own image: collective and individual studios, a pool of shared machines and tools, a space for experimentation and emergence for artistic thought. Le Wonder aims to be an independent production and distribution tool, available to the young French and international artistic scene. Plurality is at the heart of Le Wonder project. Nowadays, it welcomes 70 permanent artists and offers 4 research and creation residencies for three artists and a curator. On site, practices and research intersect and are exchanged. Thanks to those meetings, porosity and creations are influenced, evolve and are enriched. They sometimes give rise to unexpected collaborations. This collective and cooperative experience outlines new forms of co-creation and sharing. The artist/the curator must respect the rules of regulation as well as the values of the artist-run-space. Le Wonder will provide the laureate: access to all of the studios and equipment peer-support from a referent, artist from the collective Le Wonder access to the local network and the artistic scene according to desires and projects The association provides permanent and guest residents artists with a pool of shared tools and machines, as well as work spaces divided into several activity sections: Wood department; Textile department; Image department; Research department; Exhibition space; Outdoor spaces; Photo studio; Cinema department; Associative cuisine; Metal department and Ceramic department. Le Wonder research and creation residency program is supported by the Île-de-France Regional Direction of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis as part of Sodavi. Le Wonder is a member of the Arts in Residence network.
Created by the Korean artist Lee Ufan, who has been attached to Arles since a 2013 exhibition in the Saint-Laurent-Le Capitole chapel, this exhibition center is both a museum showcasing the artist's historic and recent work, and a place to live and support artistic and cultural activities. In 2023, Lee Ufan Arles and Maison Guerlain have joined forces to create the Art & Environment Prize, awarded each year to a work of universal scope whose philosophical depth echoes that of Lee Ufan. The link with the environment resonates with the values upheld by the Maison Guerlain. Sharing the same sensitivity to artistic support and transmission, as well as the same commitment to art and the environment, Lee Ufan Arles and Maison Guerlain encourage artistic productions that are resolutely altruistic and responsible, opening up new dialogues with nature. This "time-space" enables them to carry out their artistic project, but also to meet the people and institutions relevant to its implementation: artists, professionals from the art world and local players, as well as the general public. A member of the Lee Ufan Arles team is assigned to support the laureate in his or her artistic project, through meetings with international and local artists, curators and other players. The Residency is followed by an exhibition presenting the artist's work, during the summer period, in one of Lee Ufan Arles' spaces. The Prix Art & Environnement is open to all artists, regardless of artistic practice, with no age or degree limit, and to international artists.
