One of its main missions is to receive artists and dance companies through its residencies programme. '2angles' is the place to be if you are interested in discovering, creating, experimenting, researching and sharing. It creates bridges between visual arts and dance, the artists, the public, and local enterprise. The association named 'Le RAVE (Reseau des Arts Vivants Electriques -a contemporary music network)’ is located in the same building. Located in the exceptional heritage and unspoilt setting of the Montperrin Psychiatric Hospital dating back to the 19th century, 3 bis f is a place for multidisciplinary contemporary creation which is led by two artistic directors, one for visual arts and the other for performing arts. Approximately 20 French and international artists are invited to participate in residency programmes run by 3 bis f each season for varying periods of time, from a few weeks for live performance to several months for visual arts. Artists have been using 3 bis f as a workspace since its creation in 1983, reflecting the unusual identity of the centre which situates their practices in a different context. This environment is conducive to experimentation and the mixing of artistic disciplines and practices. Residents pursue their creative work with an openness to fellow artists, our team, as well as members of the public who may or may not be patients of the hospital. During their residency, artists benefit from the support of the 3 bis f team which is present on site. The residency programme and exhibition constitute the production of new works, as well as a milestone in the artist’s career. The creative project carried out by the artist marks a turning point or a period during which risks are taken in his or her practice. Moreover, the residency period is an opportunity for artists to meet and interact with those around them. Keen that the duration of the programme correspond as much as possible to the act of creation, the centre identifies (imagines), together with the artist, a fertile ground for sharing, encounters, exchanges and practices that are capable of nurturing the artist’s approach.

435 International Art Village is the example of a successful combination of artistic creation and everyday life. This place was an old house occasionally used for veteran training. Now efforts to redesign and renovate the space have turned it into one of the most popular art zones in New Taipei City. Some of the architectural designs are from the 1960s, including the holystone flooring and special glass windows which have been preserved in the house, and has accommodated resident artists all over the world. The cultural environment here features amazing diversity.
The 5.4.7 Arts Center is a non-profit community arts centre dedicated to providing opportunities in the arts through classes, exhibits and performances. Our name comes from the date of the tornado that devastated Greensburg on May 4, 2007. This date has been a catalyst for new beginnings in Greensburg and we want to remember this day that has forever changed us. Studio 804, 3rd-year graduate students in Architecture at the University of Kansas, designed and built the 5.4.7 facility. This building is a LEED platinum building and the first in the state of Kansas. Through the use of many sustainable features such as solar panels and a green roof, this building is very unique and is an exciting addition to the Greensburg landscape. The modern architecture of this facility is an exciting space for the arts to be made available to our community. The building itself is a work of art and also is a teaching tool for residents and visitors to learn about green building practices. The 5.4.7 is located in the heart of Greensburg, next to the Big Well Museum and park, one block from downtown, and one block from the Starlight Public Art Park.

The School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University is an internationally renowned institution of higher education in the fields of art, art education, architecture, design, film, television and scenography, media, graphic design and photography. Cooperation and interaction between all the different disciplines of the school challenge technology-driven thinking and put greater emphasis on a human and user-centred approach to the creative process. The school’s commitment to enhancing cross-disciplinary dialogue is also visible in its artist-in-residence programme, which is, notably, the first of its kind in the Nordic countries. Helsinki is a thriving city of culture that is currently undergoing an energising phase of creative regeneration in which local forms of self-governed activism are in seamless dialogue with global-level debates, networks and institutions. The programme builds on active partnerships with multiple actors in the Helsinki cultural scene: art museums, galleries, artists' collectives, art promotion organisations and other residence programmes, such as the Helsinki International Artist Programme (HIAP). Now in its third year, the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture Artist-in-Residence Programme provides dedicated and internationally active artists with a unique opportunity to work with a truly collaborative community of researchers, students and staff and to avail themselves of Aalto University’s resources for artistic and creative productions for a longer period of time.

The non-profit organization ACC (Autonomous Cultural Center) originated in 1987, before the fall of the Berlin wall, when students occupied a derelict Renaissance building in the center of the town where Goethe (inevitably) had had his first residence in Weimar (1776/77). Shortly before the re-unification, ACC protagonists were able to secure the house with the aid of private sponsors. The institution now consists of a gallery and a café and offers a cultural program that includes theater, literature and lecture series. Between spring 1989 and 2020, the ACC organized and curated more than 250 exhibitions (roughly five per year) of international contemporary art, through which the gallery has become a center for international cooperation and exchange. Simultaneously, the ACC focuses on the achievement of local artists and inaugurated an international artist-in-residence program. The current space is comprised of two connected buildings with 400 square meters of space consisting of 20 rooms in five former apartments.
