raum AU is a physical and mental entity that as a potential public institution presents an appropriate addition to any urban environment – to coordinate the cities non-governmental production and to support active citizenship. Within the Arte Utile residency we try to activate the cultural heritage of Arte Utile by offering it to be discussed, researched, analysed and debated. Young theoreticians and artists are welcome to enter the artists archives. The AU residency can be a simple residency, where young artists can experiment their own AU arguments, but can be extended to a proper study of an artists opus and with that materials, that usually are left open, undone and never executed. Young, curious and open artists of every corner of the world are welcome to study the ideas of Arte Utile and to work in our social environment, a tiny city next to the Austrian border.
Arteidolia Press is looking for authors who push the gamut of possibilities, for writing that is diverse and inventive, adventuresome and experimental.

Inspired by the age-old tradition of familiar salt production in the south of Portugal and fueled by the boundless possibilities of new media art, they have forged a unique space where these two divergent worlds come together. Since their roots run deep in the tradition of the sea and salt, the residency is a tribute to the legacy that has shaped generations and community. The timeless art of harvesting salt from the earth, guided by ancestral knowledge and the rhythm of nature, forms the bedrock of our inspiration. Rural region, Colombia
ArteSumapaz is a rural artist residency in the Andes mountains of Colombia offering time, space, and studios for artists working across disciplines. ArteSumapaz is located on Hacienda Australia, on 181 fanegadas (116 hectares, or 288 acres). The property is located in the municipality of San Bernardo, Cundinamarca, about three hours outside of Bogotá. In recent years, the property had been used as a cow farm, although historically the farm was part of a larger coffee plantation. All around the property you can still encounter the remains of former buildings that housed the workers, a school, and other remains of what was formerly here. Extensive trails lead to waterfalls, an ancient indigenous petroglyph, and a wealth of natural settings.
