The Fish Factory is a multi-function arts space consisting of 22 artist work spaces, a gallery, cafe and a multi-use event space. It brings together people of all ages and from all walks of life in a vibrant artistic community. Studio residents are local painters, illustrators, mixed media, installation artists, graduates, printers, potters, writers and more. The Fish Factory Arts offers a rolling programme of 2-4 week residencies at it's venue in a former sail loft in Penryn, Cornwall, South West England. Opened in 2011 by local artist Rose Hatcher, the Fish Factory has provided a forum for both Cornish emerging artists and international collaborators working in challenging and diverse mediums from interactive installations, murals, photo-montage, printmaking, music and film. The 'Fish' houses studios, an event space/independent gallery, a vegan cafe and a small shop selling work from resident artists. These diverse offerings have one thing in common: they flourish in the open and welcoming atmosphere the Fish Factory offers, a definite alternative to the corporate mainstream face of modern art today. They are looking for artists that want to engage with the lively and varied programme of contemporary, alternative and innovative visual arts, performance and events.

The Fountainhead Residency was founded by collectors Dan and Kathryn Mikesell in early 2008, with the aim of providing artists an opportunity to find new inspiration (a fountainhead), of introducing artists to Miami’s art community and its many supporters, and of introducing Miami and all that it has to offer to artist. The Residency will provide artists with an environment to find new inspirations, create new work, and an opportunity to meet the people that make Miami’s art community one-of-a-kind.

The Good Hatchery was originally founded in 2007 by a group of 5 graduates from Irelands National College of Art and Design (NCAD) as a response to the economic and other obstacles facing emerging artists during the boom years of the Celtic tiger. The building that houses the Good Hatchery was found in 2006 an online recycling network. In July 2007 five artists began the process of renovating the space into a residential studio. All materials for the work were obtained for free through recycling and salvaging systems. By November the space was habitable and could accommodate art and music making. The Good Hatchery is an experimental project that sets out to challenge the accepted norms for the production and presentation of contemporary art in Ireland today. They are committed to the support of artists in the production of high quality progressive art works. They promote an ethos of DIY and sustainability that takes advantage the spread of information and online learning opportunities enabled by our global age. To this end, the Good Hatchery operates an ongoing series of residencies and projects throughout the year. Through invitation and open call, artists and other cultural practitioners from Ireland and abroad are selected to be involved in the Good Hatcherys curatorial programme. In addition to this, unsolicited proposals for residencies and on site projects are accepted from individuals and groups. The Good Hatchery offers all of its its facilities free of charge to successful applicants. All participants in briefed and un-briefed projects are chosen by the administrators and board of members. They are particularly interested in unusual and experimental projects and in collaborative group proposals.

The Griffis Art Center wants to cultivate and encourage contemporary fine art and artists and create an opportunity for international exchange among artists and the community through arts. The Artist-in-Residence Program is for artists involved in the creation of visual arts. It is neither a school nor an artist's colony. It does, however, offer an opportunity for professional artists to explore their full creative potential. An artist's work may be contemporary or traditional, and may include most types of medium. However, certain casting techniques, which take too long to produce finished products, may have to be eliminated. Printmaking, photography and casting equipment are not available on the premises.
