About the magazine
Beth Anderson, Children's Writer is not a traditional arts institution but a personal author website and blog that serves as a resource for the children's writing community. Founded by Beth Anderson, an author of picture books and early readers, the site features posts on craft, industry insights, and interviews. A notable example is the March 8, 2024, guest post by Melissa H. Mwai titled 'Behind the Scenes: The Mysterious World of Work-for-Hire Early Readers,' which demystifies the work-for-hire process for early reader series. The site's core mission is to share knowledge and foster transparency within children's publishing.
