About the magazine
Creation Magazine is an independent literary and arts publication founded in 2018 with the aim of fostering a contemplative and critically engaged space for new writing and visual art. Rooted in a commitment to slow reading and sustained attention, the magazine publishes poetry, short fiction, essays, and hybrid works that resist the ephemeral trends of digital culture. Its editorial ethos is shaped by a belief that creative work should be given room to breathe, allowing complexity and ambiguity to remain intact rather than being resolved into easy takeaways.

Before submitting, read at least two recent issues to understand the magazine's aesthetic and intellectual preoccupations. Creation Magazine favors work that demonstrates patience, precision, and a willingness to engage with complex emotional or philosophical terrain. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Editorial inquiries for Fall 2026 are currently open; response times are typically 8–12 weeks. Include a brief cover letter that contextualizes your submission without over-explaining it.
