About the magazine

#EnbyLife Journal is an online literary and arts publication founded to amplify nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and trans voices. Since its inception, it has served as a digital commons for work that interrogates gender binaries and celebrates the multiplicities of identity. The journal publishes poetry, prose, visual art, and hybrid forms, with a curatorial focus on emerging and underrepresented creators. Its tribute issues, such as the recurring '#EnbyLife Journal: Tribute,' honor the legacies of trans and nonbinary artists while fostering new conversations across generations.

Submitting your work

Reading periodVaries

Before submitting, read several past issues to understand the journal's aesthetic range and political commitments. They favor work that challenges conventional gender narratives and embraces formal innovation. Simultaneous submissions are typically accepted, but notify promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Include a brief bio that specifies your pronouns and any relevant identity context, as this informs their curation. Response times vary; query after three months if you haven't heard back.
