Editorial focus
Epiphany Magazine is a semiannual print and online literary journal and an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) that supports practicing writers at every stage of their careers. It publishes two print magazines a year and publishes essays, fiction, and poetry online on a rolling basis. With its Breakout contest and Fresh Voices Fellowship, it honors both student writers and writers of color who exist outside the literary establishment. For over 20 years, it has championed work that transcends convention and demonstrates literary mastery.
Submitting your work
Artists should review past issues to understand the journal's aesthetic, which favors work that engages with narrative or conceptual depth. Submissions are typically open during reading periods announced on the website; unsolicited work outside these windows is discouraged. For art submissions, include a brief artist statement and a link to a portfolio. High-resolution images are required for accepted work. Response times vary, so patience is advised. Simultaneous submissions are accepted with prompt notification of acceptance elsewhere.
