About the magazine

FASPE (Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics) was founded in 2009 by David Goldman and is administered by the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York. Its core mission is to examine the ethical responsibilities of professionals by studying the Holocaust and its origins, with programs for journalism, law, medicine, business, design & technology, and seminary. The fellowship takes participants to Berlin and Auschwitz, where they engage with historical sites, survivor testimony, and case studies to interrogate contemporary professional ethics. The Design & Technology program, launched in 2022, specifically addresses ethical challenges in design, engineering, and emerging technologies, encouraging fellows to consider the social impact of their work.
