About the magazine

GAS: Poetry, Art, and Music is an independent, volunteer-run platform founded in the early 2010s to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue among poets, visual artists, and musicians. Operating primarily through its blog and social media, GAS curates online exhibitions, publishes digital anthologies, and organizes occasional live events that bring together emerging and mid-career practitioners. Its ethos is rooted in accessibility and experimentation, prioritizing work that resists easy categorization and engages with the intersections of text, sound, and image.

Editorial focus

GAS: Poetry, Art, and Music is an online journal that publishes poetry as well as a combination of art, music, and interviews. It’s best to read a few features to get the sense for what is published. They also do occasional interviews, readings, videos shows, and collaboration projects.

GAS accepts submissions on a rolling basis via email, with occasional themed calls announced on its blog. Artists should send a brief bio, a short artist statement, and up to five work samples (text, images, or audio links). Given the platform's interdisciplinary focus, collaborative projects and works that blur genre boundaries are especially welcome. Response times vary, so patience is advised; simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but please notify GAS if your work is accepted elsewhere.
