About the magazine

Internet Angelz is a digital-first literary initiative that emerged from the online horror and weird fiction communities of the early 2020s. Founded as a response to the often exclusionary gatekeeping of traditional genre publishing, it operates as a decentralized platform for flash fiction that explores the eerie, the uncanny, and the monstrously mundane. Its core mission is to democratize access to publication for emerging writers, prioritizing voice and atmosphere over credentials, while fostering a supportive, non-hierarchical space for experimental short-form horror.

Submitting your work

Reading periodVaries

Before submitting, read several recent pieces to understand the editors' taste for concise, unsettling narratives that often blur the line between psychological and supernatural horror. Flash fiction should typically be under 1,000 words, with a strong opening image and no wasted language. Simultaneous submissions are generally accepted, but please withdraw promptly if accepted elsewhere. Given the online-first nature, ensure your piece works well on a screen—short paragraphs, clear pacing. Do not query about status until at least two months have passed; the team is small and volunteer-run. Most importantly, do not send generic or previously published work; Internet Angelz seeks original, unpublished pieces that feel urgent and immediate.
